Okay, our number one tip for using a round brush is to let your hair air-dry—you won't achieve a salon-quality blow-out by using a round brush when your hair is soaking wet.

Once your hair is about 80 percent dry, grab your favorite round brush and start wrapping small, even sections around the bristles.

Then, roll the brush from roots to ends and follow with your blow-dryer in a horizontal motion. If ya want to get real fancy, twist each piece with your finger as it falls to create a soft wave.

If there's a certain look you're going for, keeping the barrel size in mind will certainly be helpful. As a general rule, the smaller a round brush is, the tighter the curls will be. So if you're looking for something to help straighten out your bob or achieve that wispy curtain bang look, go for a large round brush.
