WEIRTON – The City of Weirton’s Fall Clean Up has been scheduled for the week of Oct. 3-7.
In addition, a metal items collection will be held Sept. 29 and 30. Both services will be available only to current Weirton sanitation customers.
Household goods for the clean up week are to be placed on the curb before 7 a.m. on the day of residents’ regular garbage collection.
Crews will not be collecting construction materials, vehicle tires, vehicle parts, tree trimmings, brush, propane tanks, air conditioners, lawnmowers, paint, oil or antifreeze or hazardous materials.
Metal items to be collected on the designated days include stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, hot water tanks, old railings, bicycle frames, and metal shelving. Metal items are to be placed curbside no later than 7 a.m., Sept. 29.
Recyclables will not be collected during the clean up week.
